How can I start getting named by my nickname and not my first name?

My nickname has always been Adolf but my birthname is James, how can I get people to call me Adolf? It was my nickname in school and I like it.|||Like Jen Jen said, start signing your name Adolf. People will get the message. Also, when introducing yourself to someone new, call yourself Adolf, and if you want, you can add that James is really your name, but you prefer to be called Adolf. Tell you friends you would like to be Adolf, and if they are understanding, they will comply readily. I don't know why everyone is talking about you trying to be Adolf Hitler.
