What is the Nickname given to the Massachusettes State Police?

They use the nickname in films such as The Departed and Mystic River. It soulds like they are saying estadies, easteighties, stadys, something like that.|||No question about it. In Massachusetts, we nickname state troopers as "Staties" whether on 128 or the MassPike. The undercover cars on the highways, we call bull dogs.|||staties. as in state cops. i dont think its just for MA but im not sure b/c thats where i live. i think any state cop can be called a statie. we used to call my campus police campo. soooooooo ya thats it. bye|||staties? state police
