What is the word for a person who gives themselves their nickname or moniker?

I could of sworn that there is a word out there for a person that gives themselves their own nickname or moniker. I have looked all over the place and I can't find it. Please help - I feel like I'm at my wits end.|||self-styled.|||self-proclaimed.
