What nickname can you call someone enlisted in the US airforce?

I have a pen pal and want a cute nickname to call him. He's in the Honor guard btw. Any advice.|||Okay, you're a civilian... maybe some of the others don't get it here on YA! but the following terms for Airmen are taboo (against culture) for use by civilians. Call him one of these and you're likely to piss your penpal off:

NO:

Flyboy

zoomie

wingnut

chairforce

anything to do with piloting (we're not all fliers, you know)

As to the answers above, Airman is what he IS, not so much a nickname. Maverick would be hilarious for the following reasons: 1) it's a pilot name, but you're not calling him a fighter jock directly and 2) it's navy, so it's a subtle jibe while being a well known name at the same time... plus it shortens to "Mav"|||Airhead.|||Zoomie|||Blue Union...|||By whatever rank he has, but never airman.

You could call him Buzz!|||Airhead!|||Airman.|||Wing Nut has a nice ring to it.|||when i was in the navy we called tehm dodo birds!

oops! " them" sorry|||PATRIOT!|||you fly is open|||Maverick.....best name ever|||Jet jock.|||Wingnut|||I grew up in Florida and I heard the people(mostly men)in the Air Force called "Fly boys".|||skypilot.|||Flyboy ?|||flyboy
